LUKE SCOTT DJ/PRODUCER
The story so far...
Luke Scott is a Birmingham born DJ and producer. His musical journey dates back to the breakbeat era of acid house and ‘rave’ music circa 1992. Luke was instantly hooked after seeing a host of his then favourite DJs mix seamlessly from one tune to another.
After listening to endless amounts of rave tapes from Dreamscape, Helterskelter, Slammin’ Vinyl etc the burning desire to create this vibe for himself led to the purchase of some makeshift decks in 1994, playing the then popular drum and bass / jungle genres. As this genre of music quality started to fade Luke’s focus then started to lean towards house and trance and finally settled with hard house in 1997. Admiring the sounds of Andy Farley, Lisa Lashes, Paul Kershaw to name but a few at Sundissential, Polysexual and Godskitchen in his hedonistic clubbing days in the places he liked to call home every weekend for 3 to 4 years, whilst also hammering the decks Monday to Thursday.
Inevitably, in 2002 family life took over and Luke had to refocus his attention on being a family man and all that that entails.
In 2016 a night out at a Cream Anniversary re-ignited the musical passion that had never really died so he set about a 4 year plan to purchase everything required to set himself up digitally whilst also gaining the required skills to produce quality sets that he is often complimented on by well respected names in the scene.
Luke’s journey to get himself out there has gained him residencies at Hardhouse Korrpution, Forgotten Classics Hardhouse and Trance, Global Hardhouse Radio, Digital Carnage and Beatwave where he has also received accolade in his ability to produce a progressive and well researched set. Luke’s latest proud achievement is becoming an integral part of the Atomic Reloaded management team.
Luke is also pursuing another dream of having tracks of his own sound released and also for his own sets. This dream will be realised in the coming months with the release of his first 2 tracks, that you will be able to hear in his debut set for the Atomic brand on the Reloaded Weekender.
